C62 is the biggest and the most powerful steam locomotive in Japan.
This "C62 2" is often called "Swallow Angel"
because of the swallow emblems on both sides of the deflectors.
First producted in the late forties
and the C62 had been running for more than twenty years.
This C62 2 was moved from Hokkaido to the Umekoji Steam Locomotive Museum
in Kyoto about twenty-five years ago.
Since then it has been the top entertainer there.
